NBA 2k Tournament Details

Introducing the Locker Room Access NBA 2K Tournament to benefit UVA hourly employees impacted by COVID19 brought to you by Conor Murray – Realtor for Frank Hardy Sotheby’s International Realty and GOAT app. As you know, with the cancellation of events, many hourly employees were left without pay and insurance.  We are building a 2k tournament to help promote Social Distancing and the needs of those employees who lost wages. We know this pandemic has impacted millions around the globe and we know we can’t help everyone. But we can make a difference in our community. They supported us over the years and we want to do something to support them. Every dollar helps, donate in some way. You don’t have to donate here. Just find a way. There are gofundme pages and other avenues, if you prefer those.

How does it work?

Former UVA athletes and influencers will participate in the tournament with spots being auctioned off and raffled off for a chance to play in the tournament with your favorite UVA athletes. All the proceeds will be donated to the hourly workers in need. Who is playing in the tournament?

A number of former athletes will participate in the tournament. Here is a full list of players who have donated their time.

UVA Basketball: Ty Jerome, Kyle Guy, De’Andre Hunter, London Perrantes, Justin Anderson, Isaiah Wilkins, Sean Singletary, Grant Kersey

 

 

UVA Football: Joe Reed, Hasise Dubois, Quin Blanding, Luke Bowanko, Ahmad Hawkins, Jake McGee, Chuck Davis, Olamide Zaccheaus, Tim Harris

Other Sports: Luca Corinteli, Connor Jones, Riley Wilson, Ryan Baker, Zach Fong

Rules for the Tournament:

2 or 3 practice games will determine the seeding. The Bracket will be posted on Locker Room Access on Monday April 27th.

Game Settings: 5 minute quarters, Fatigue on, Hall of Fame Mode

Teams: 3 random teams (Mul, LAL, LAC, BKN are NOT available)

When is the Tournament?

The Tournament will begin Thursday, April 30th. More details to come on the championship game.

Tournament Games will be all hosted on www.twitch.tv/lockerroomaccess

What does the winner receive?
