CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (MAY 27, 2022) – Cavalier Futures, the alumni-driven collective dedicated to supporting University of Virginia (UVA) student-athletes in their career development and name, image, likeness (NIL) activities, has partnered with Locker Room Access to launch a brand new way for fans to connect with their favorite Hoos. The “Cav Club” is a fan subscription platform that will allow members to access exclusive updates, interviews, mini-series, vlogs, and events featuring student-athletes.
Membership options are tiered, ranging from $4.99/month to $500/month. The Blue Membership ($4.99 per month) adds subscribers to an exclusive mailing list to receive the Cav Club newsletter that will include video messages, early insights on NIL sponsorships, and articles written by and about student-athletes. The Orange Membership gives subscribers access to a portal of digital content such as in-depth interviews, athlete-led mini-series, and behind-the-scenes vlogs. Orange-level members will also gain access to a fan store with limited edition merchandise and receive priority registration for Cavalier Futures’ events. The Silver Package ($99.99/month) and Gold Package ($500/month) will put subscribers on the guest list for various invite-only events such as small group meet & greets, clinics, and more.
While the platform itself is scheduled to go live June 15, 2022, early registration opened today. Some athletes have already announced their involvement, including football players Nick Jackson and Mike Green who will both be premiering their own mini-series on the platform. Nick Jackson will be leading the series “6 EATS” where he gives viewers a full review of Charlottesville’s staple restaurants. Mike Green will showcase his off-the-field talent as the team barber in a mini-series titled “4ADE” (“Fade”). Both titles are inspired by their respective jersey numbers.
Long-time Hoo fans will be excited to see some other familiar faces on the platform. Legendary UVA wide receiver Herman Moore and his marketing agency Team84 will be among the Cav Club’s partners in order to facilitate athlete-alumni appearances in subscription content, as well as unique merchandising opportunities for the Cav Club brand and student-athletes.

The Club will accelerate NIL compensation opportunities while offering fans exclusive content, merchandise, collectibles, and Cavalier Futures branded events,” shared Executive Director Lo Davis. “Our partnerships with Locker Room Access and Team84 will also bring high profile former student-athletes to the platform to support our current student-athletes, which we hope will create new ties throughout the entire UVA Athletics community.”
“Our goal is for the Cav Club platform to become a place where fans can really get to know student-athletes as individuals,” said Director of Marketing & Athlete Engagement Maddie Walsh. “All of the content – the interviews, the mini-series, etc – is designed to allow student-athletes to showcase their personalities, share their stories, and have fun doing it.”
Cav Club is the latest development in Cavalier Futures’s inclusive NIL marketplace, but only the first of many exciting upcoming announcements.
