Class of 2021 Targets

Tony Bennett and Jason Williford were at Paul VI in Fairfax on Sunday night, once again checking in on prized guard Trevor Keels. That's been a frequent occurrence since the Fall. Elevated to a 5-star ranking by Rivals, Trevor has been one of the season's biggest stock risers. He's added February offers from Louisville and NC State to his impressive list. Paul VI enters this weekend's WCAC tournament as the 2nd seed.

Big man Efton Reid led Steward (VA) to a first round conference tourney win, scoring 20 points. They'll take on Norfolk Collegiate tonight in the semifinals. Efton has taken official visits to UVA and Ohio State. He recently attended a Georgetown game. Head coaches from Louisville and Iowa State have both been to see him recently, schools he's said he plans to visit.

Sunrise Christian (KS) guard Kendall Brown is the most recent recipient of a Virginia offer. He's on an official visit to Ohio State this weekend, and also attended a Kansas game on Monday. Those programs along with Marquette, where he visited in October, seem to be in the best position with him at the moment.

Blackhawk (IN) big man Caleb Furst took an official visit to Michigan State last weekend. The Spartans have picked up several predictions to land his eventual commitment, most notably from Rivals guru Corey Evans. Caleb visited Virginia in September. Coach Bennett has made multiple trips to see him. Purdue and Indiana are also heavily involved.

Wilson (PA) point guard Stevie Mitchell has probably received the most Virginia attention without yet being offered a scholarship. it's been a big week for him. He led his team to the county championship, breaking his school's career scoring mark along the way. Stanford just jumped in with an offer. He also attended the Temple game vs Villanova.

Millennium (AZ) forward DaRon Holmes continues to dominate the high school season. He dropped 35 points in Wednesday's playoff victory, after being named Region Player of the Year. A clear priority target, he officially visited the weekend of UVA's home opener along with Efton Reid. He'll join California based Team Why Not this summer on the Nike EYBL circuit.
