A New Locker Room Access Podcast: The Lockdown with Tcov and Hawk

Yup, there's another Locker Room Access Podcast. Branching out to cover UVa Football, The Lockdown with Tcov and Hawk is hosted by Tony Covington and Ahmad Hawkins, both Virginia football legends.

Covington played safety for the Wahoos from 1987 to 1990 before heading off to the league where he played four seasons for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and one more with the Seattle Seahawks. While in Charlottesville, Covington and the 'Hoos went 33-15 and made three bowl games including the Sugar Bowl in 1990.

Hawkins, who started at both defensive back and wide receiver in his time on Grounds, played for the 'Hoos from 1997-2000. Over that time span, Virginia went 25-18 and made three bowl games, including the Peach Bowl in 1998. After his playing time in Charlottesville came to a close, Hawkins spent nine seasons in the Arena Football League.

Now, both of them are in the broadcasting business and have joined the Locker Room Access team to bring you all the behind the scenes stories, all the insights, and anything you want to know about the Virginia Football program.

New Shows

In a mere three weeks of existence, the Lockdown with Tcov and Hawk has already hosted two shows. First, the guys had former Wahoo tight end Jake Mgee on to talk about his time in Charlottesville, his decision to transfer to Florida, and his time in the NFL.
