Andrew Rohde is on a Tear of Late

Third-year guard Andrew Rohde has upped his game in a major way this season.  After a rough statistical first year at UVA, Rohde has now become the type of high level contributor Virginia fans envisioned when he transferred in from St. Thomas.  He’s leading the team in assists, third in scoring, while shooting at a 41% clip from deep.

Andrew has proven a lot of naysayers wrong this year.  And he’s only getting better as the season goes along.  Over the last three games, Rohde is on an absolute tear.  Recording 25 assists without a single turnover during that stretch.  He’s stepped in more than admirably to fill the void at point guard.  Showing the versatility of his offensive game, a big part of the reason UVA recruited him.

Rohde has grown into a leadership role for the Wahoos, earning the respect of his peers and fans alike.   His evolution this season has been tremendous to watch.  If he can continue to produce as he has of late, UVA has a chance to make some noise down the stretch.

The special Locker Room Access eBay auctions are underway.  All in honor of our friend Chris Dembitz, better known as Phony Bennett.  Items include signed game worn shoes, like Andrew Rohde's shoes pictured above.

All proceeds from player merch go to them through NIL. There are also signed game worn shoes from members of the coaching staff, such as Kyle Guy's, with those proceeds going to the UVA Children's Hospital in Chris's name.
