Top 10 Jordans (UVA Edition)
With the upcoming release of the Shattered Backboard 3.0 Jordan 1s this weekend. I thought we would take a look at the top 10 Jordans that were Virginia themed. Jordan went to UNC, but at this point, he's had enough colorways to represent just about every school in America. Here's what we've got.
10. Jordan 10 - Bobcats
Maybe it's because Justin Anderson wore these on the court, but this colorway with its hint of orange and navy looked sweet on the court. I know the Jordan 10 is a popular shoe on the court and this colorway was a solid match with the UVA uniforms. Not a huge fan of the laces on the original pair, but the ones pictured above have the navy laces.
9. Jordan 8 - Navy/Orange
These never had a nickname, but they released along in a Navy and White pair that would match any UVA gear. I believe there is also a Phoenix Suns color in black of this pair, but the Green hints on the Navy pair throw it off a little.
8. Jordan 11 low - Citrus (GS)
The Jordan 11 low Citrus only came in grade school sizes, but these go down as the top orange color of the Jordan 11. There have been rumors of a Jordan mid for years, but nothing has surfaced.
7. Jordan 5 low - Knicks
Released 2 years ago with this orange and blue hang tag and bubble. While the Blue isn't exactly UVA, this colorway still goes well with any orange or throwback UVA gear.
6. Jordan 13 low- Orange/Navy
This released in the early 2000's with Carmelo Anthony on the rise. I'm guessing this was a Syracuse related colorway. This hasn't retro'd again, but a true Navy and Orange color is a must for this list.
5. Jordan 1 - Metallic Orange
A real old school Jordan 1. Back in the day, Nike released a variety of Jordan 1's in metalic colors. This one included is a classic. If these re-release, we'll be sure to update you here.
4. Jordan 3 - Fear pack
These released as a pack with a multitude of colors, but this one in particular with the hint of orange would go perfect with any UVA gear. The elephant print and soft leather made this one an instant hit.
3. Jordan 3 - Knicks
Recently released was this Jordan 3 with Orange and blue hints. This didn't sell out and you may be able to find it on shelves now. The leather quality and the original cement print puts this one at the top of the list.
2. Jordan 6 - Gatorade
These released as part of a gatorade pack in 2017. With small hints of Green, this still matches perfectly with any UVA gear.
1. Jordan 1 - Shattered Backboard
No Orange Jordans will ever be a true OG colorway, but these Shaterred Backboard Jordans meant to commemorate the uniforms Jordan wore when he shatered the backboard in Italy are CLASSICS.
