Virginia's 11th ranked baseball team returned to their winning ways, while several Wahoo stars brought home ACC honors as the spring sports season nears postseason play.

#11 UVA Baseball got back on track by going 5-1 the beginning of last week.  They Hoos picked up midweek victories over Liberty and Navy, a victory at VCU, and won the series at Boston College 2 games to 1.

The weekend series saw a reversal of how the rest of the season has gone, with pitching being the main reason for the Wahoo victories. Over the three-game set, the Hoos only scored 10 runs and were actually outscored on the series. But the arms were able to do what was necessary to pick up another ACC road series win.

Not only was the pitching on point but there was also good news for the staff, as Joe Savino made his longest start of the season, going 4 complete shutout innings. The midweek game also saw continued progress from first-year Bryson Moore, as he was able to go 2 and 1/3 innings. He might take longer to round into form, but this is welcome progress nonetheless.

The Hoos will have a bye this weekend before starting the final stretch of the season next week hosting George Mason on Wednesday (5/8 1 pm) in the midweek before a huge weekend series against #20 NC State. The Friday game will be aired on ACC Network (5/10 7 pm).

The ACC tournament will begin next Wednesday in Durham.

The ACC tournament will begin on Friday, with the Hoos getting a rematch with Notre Dame (5/3 5 pm). This game will air on ACC Network.
