Virginia offers Jalen Warley

Tony Bennett paid a visit to The Westtown School (PA) back on January 31st, as we reported. Today, he extended a scholarship offer to their star point guard Jalen Warley.
Warley has been one of the biggest stock risers of the high school season and has piled up offers through the Spring. Michigan, Louisville, Seton Hall, Pittsburgh, and Oregon are among the many in what seems to be a wide open recruitment. He's already taken official visits to Marquette and Creighton. With terrific size for a point guard at 6'5, he could potentially fill a Brogdon type role in college playing on or off the ball. Rivals ranked him the #21 overall prospect in the class in their latest update.
Virginia has three scholarships open for 2021, with no commitments so far. Warley is the fifth guard to receive an offer joining Trevor Keels, Max Christie, Kendall Brown, and Jordan Longino. All of them are ranked in the top 50 in the latest Rivals update. UVA probably only has the opportunity available for one of that caliber.
The Hoos won't need to wait long to find out if they're in the running for Warley. He plans to release a trimmed list this weekend.
