May Madness: Breaking down the LRA NBA 2k Tournament Bracket
The Locker Room Access NBA 2k20 Tournament will be kicking off only hours from now. With that in mind, it’s time to analyze the bracket to get an idea of how this tournament will play out.
Favorites to Win
As of now, the bracket is wide open. But, there are a number of favorites who I’ve identified that you’ll want to keep an eye on. That said, even the most overwhelming of favorites can be upset, and there are lingering question marks for each one of them.
Ty Jerome opens the tournament as the 2k player with the most hype. Consistently posting to social media of his various victories, there’s no question that Jerome is confident that he can get the job done. Of course, he’ll be wary of the CPU referees that will be much more stringent about double dribbling than those he’s accustomed to.
Kyle Guy, while perhaps less ostentatious about his videogaming prowess, is nonetheless well-versed in the world of gaming. Then again, Kyle hasn’t had the best of results when seeded first overall.
Deandre Hunter, the final member of the big three that led Virginia to it first National Championship, is undefeated in NCAA tournament play. Can he uphold that flawless record in May?
Co-Founder of Locker Room Access Justin Anderson will have a target on his back when he opens play in the coming days. In his career, Anderson never made it past the Sweet Sixteen. Can he surpass those previous tournament performances?
First Round Matchups to Watch
While the final rounds of the tournament will no doubt be thrilling, there are a number of notable first round matchups that you’ll want to check out.
First off, former Virginia wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus and Wahoops founder Gray Ellington will be gutting it out. Zaccheaus is now with the Atlanta Falcons, while Ellington has grown the Wahoops Instagram account to over twenty-four thousand followers.
Next up, Scott Ratcliffe, the longtime sports reporter who now works for JerryRatcliffe.com, will be tipping off against the former Virginia football safety, Quin Blanding. Blanding is now signed to a futures contract with the Carolina Panthers.

Lastly, notable Locker Room Access partner and site designer Kodie Critzer will be staring down former Virginia cornerback, and current 49ers corner Tim Harris.
Notable Sleepers
With so many big names participating in this contest, a few can get lost in the shuffle. But don’t count these notable sleepers out. Just when you forgot they’re there, they pounce.
Joe Reed
The newly-minted LA Charger will be looking to follow up his selection in the 2020 NFL Draft with a similarly impressive outing in the Locker Room Access 2k Tournament. Reed has a tough draw, as, if he’s fortunate enough to make it out of the first round, he’ll either be facing former teammate Zaccheaus, or tech guru Ellington.
How Will Joe Reed Fit with the Chargers?
Phony Bennett
Phony has been playing down his chances quite heavily the last couple of days. But don’t let the dude pretending to be a dude kind of pretending to be another dude fool you. He’s no video game novice, and his experience in shooter games will no doubt provide him an advantage when things get physical.

Kobe Jerome
My dark-horse pick to win it all, Ty Jerome’s younger brother Kobe will be looking to get out from under the shadow of his older brother.
